Two weekends after Club Crews in Ravenna, the impact of COVID showed up. Half of the 8 infected paddlers from Hannover were still recovering from their symptoms and had to stay at home, but the Pink Dragonistas managed to form a new crew for the German nationals and travelled to Berlin to spend a long weekend paddling in the autumn sun.
Unfortunately, the Küsten Pinkies were not as lucky and had to withdraw their team, so only 4 boats entered the competition. Two Pink Fusion boats and the Pink Dragonistas as well as two paddlers from Wilhelmshaven who came to support were warmly welcomed by the Pink Paddler Berlin. Every team even got a bottle of pink champagne .
Then the races started. We shared a warm-up with music and dancing and cruised the Dahme river. Between the races, all teams mixed, talked and caught up with each other while building new connections. On Saturday night, we met for a party offering a disco or talking under the full moon. After three days of fun and sports, we returned home with many new memories made.
