International Paddling Event: January 2025

Getting excited about IBCPC 2026 in France has prompted cancer paddlers everywhere to start preparations and gather their teammates. What a better way to prepare than to attend this inaugural event in sunny Florida, USA, at one of the top paddling venues in the world!
Nathan Benderson Park, where our 2014 IBCPC festival was held, has set aside four days for All Cancer Paddlers (ACP) and Breast Cancer Paddlers (BCP) to connect with each other in a leadership training camp and Participatory Festival. This event is designed give all survivors and their supporters the unique opportunity to meet, have fun, practice with, and learn from, the world's best in the sport. BCP attendees will also be able to collectively manifest our love of life and the sport of dragon boating with Dr Don Mckenzie at our side.
The Park (NBP) has worked with Linked In Pinks to gather some of the top professionals in the in the field of dragon boat coaching, training, event planning, and racing, to help survivor paddlers and teams prepare for the upcoming 2025 and 2026 seasons. The event is titled Unleash the Dragons to represent that, after this 2024 year of the dragons, cancer survivors worldwide will be ready and willing to "fly" and will need more great coaches, helms, drummers, and experienced paddlers to fill their teams and compete in premier regattas.
