Regatta Preparations
Cork Dragons are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year and holding a Rebel Regatta on Saturday 2nd September in the city. It promises to be a fabulous day of fun and competition and friendships made and renewed.
Plurabelle Paddlers are in the final stages of preparation for the forthcoming EDBF Ravenna competitions in September and have entered 2 teams in the competition. They will be joined by Carlow Dragons in representing Ireland at the competition.
Remembering Julie Lillis
Julie Lillis was a much-loved member of the Lagan Dragons family. Throughout her illness she demonstrated fierce determination both in the boat and by campaigning tirelessly to improve outcomes for those with a metastatic diagnosis like herself. Even amid her illness she competed with her team last autumn, both drumming and paddling, and triumphantly lifted the 3rd place trophy in competition. She is missed but her wonderful spirit is remembered fondly by all her teammates who remembered her, along with her family and friends at a flower ceremony last month where they shared wonderful memories of her.
